Here's a message of positivity. Stick with me. 📖
Educating about toxins in our world can feel heavy. Why has mankind outsmarted itself? Big corporations slipping unnecessary chemicals into goods - from polyester yoga pants to petroleum-based body lotion to pharmaceuticals once from nature, now from petroleum...
But there's a divine order; what's unclear now will make sense in the grand scheme of things.
A hopeful conversation.
A few weeks back, a gentleman by the name of Henry Palmer reached out to me. He had stumbled upon (who remembers that site?) my channel in a quest for connecting with folks who, like him, want to clean up the toxicities of this modern world. I find so much hope in having conversations about the crisis-level problems through a lens of innovation and positivity with people who just get it.
I have this rule where if we’re talking about problems, we must talk about solutions.
In this chat with Henry, though we lamented the ever-present greenwashing, the destruction of our ecosystems, and the rapid growth of illnesses across the board, we felt very encouraged by the work we were both doing. Henry provides a one-stop shop called Lochtree for TRULY sustainable (this word is thrown around too loosely sometimes) products that put human health first, and me, being on a mission to make non-toxic living easy and accessible for all.
Upon hanging up, I began scouring his site, Lochtree, to triple-check that everything met my standards for human health. Sure enough, it did, which truthfully is hard to come by. Even shopping on popular wellness sites such as Thrive, I find many issues with some products they sell (like hidden ‘natural flavors’ and weird additives).
Finding Lochtree has been really encouraging to me, knowing that there are retailers out there thinking about both HUMAN and planet health. Despite all the crazy that comes along with a chemical world, I truly feel we’re on the precipice of something really good, a mass awakening. No more hidden poisons in the deodorant we use or all-purpose cleanser, etc. When is enough, enough? I’ve seen more and more people wanting to make healthier, non-toxic choices every single day, even from people who I’d never expect!
Finding this awesome retailer, Lochtree, was too good to not share, hence me dedicating today's newsletter. I hope you enjoy shopping on the site as much as I have. For a little inspo, here is what is in my cart today!
What’s in my cart?
On this Good Friday, what we all need is a message of hope. Things aren’t as bad as they may seem. Life is beautiful! Making small changes to lead a non-toxic lifestyle over time is one of the best things you can do for your overall health. Don't let yourself get discouraged by all the bad news; there is so much good happening behind the scenes. Remember, I am always here to make non-toxic living easy and accessible for you.
Wishing you a beautiful Easter weekend - the ultimate message of hope!
Xx,
Heidi
